Former front-tire changer Jack Lewis will dust off his air wrench for the Aug. 7 Brickyard 400 for Lowe’s Home Improvement Warehouse Racing. Lewis will change front tires for the #31 RCR Lowes Chevy driven by Mike Skinner. The 36 year old will substitute for one race until a full-time replacement is named to the position recently vacated by Mike Lingerfelt. Lewis currently serves as a full-time fabricator for the #31 Lowe’s Chevy. Team Manager David Smith said Lewis was the standout choice for the Brickyard 400. Lewis has six years of experience as a tire changer, most recently with Skinner’s teammate Dale Earnhardt in the #3 GM Goodwrench Chevy(Cotter Group)
