TV Guide still talking to Jack Roush about sponsorship of the #16 Ford driven by Kevin Lepage. Roush tried Monday to counter speculation surrounding the sponsorship of Lepage’s team. TV Guide is the team’s sponsor, having taken over this year from Primestar after that company was sold. TV Guide bought the final year of the sponsorship deal, and there have been questions about whether the magazine would sign on beyond that, leaving the future of the #16 team the subject of rumors. Roush said Monday that talks are ongoing with TV Guide about continuing as sponsor. The magazine is planning a racing sweepstakes starting Aug. 22. Fans can register by sending in a form or through the magazine’s website. Fifty fans will be called during the telecast of each race and asked to identify the television star featured on Lepage’s car. Those who do will go into a drawing for four spots as honorary pit crew members for the season finale at Atlanta, with an all-expenses paid trip to that race included( That’s Racin’ )
