Tyler Jet Motorsports signed World of Outlaws(WoO) open wheel driver Tyler Walker, to a contract Tuesday. The agreement will have Walker in a BGN for a pair of races later this season. Walker is 20 years old, and burst on to the World of Outlaws scene in 1998 finishing second in the Rookie of the Year chase. He has two victories in the 1999 WoO season. Walker has had limited pavement racing experience behind the wheel of an ASA car at Indianapolis Raceway Park. Walker qualified 27th and was running 11th when a mechanical problem cut short the solid effort. Walker will test extensively with the Tyler Jet BGN unit before debuting in the inaugural BGN event at Phoenix on Nov. 6 and will also run at Miami-Homestead Speedway Nov. 13.
