Ohio State graduate and Centerville, Ohio native Josh Baltes will have a ride in the BGN next season and make some runs later this season. Baltes is a part-time ARCA driver and former ARCA rookie of the year. The Alumni Motorsports team will be owned in part by former Ohio State Buckeye Football players Jim Lachey and Mike Tomczak. Tomczak is cuurently a QB with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Other investors are Eldora Speedway president Terry Baltes(Josh’s father), Brent Bushu, Bret Adams and Drew West. Everyone except Adams, a former Ohio State law professor, is an OSU graduate. The Ohio State logo will appear somewhere on the car and the team will be affiliated with the Ohio State Center for Automotive Research. A team manager, crew chief and crew will be hired and a shop will be rented in the Charlotte, N.C., area after a full-time sponsor is signed.
