Bill Elliott’s plans to bring a new #94 McDonalds Ford to Darlington this weekend came close to falling apart on the car’s trip to the track. Elliott’s team took the new car to the wind tunnel in Marietta, Ga., earlier this week before leaving for Darlington. Once the car was inside the tunnel, a switch that controls the power malfunctioned and caused a fire. There was no major damage to the facility, but the team canceled the test without gaining any new information on the car( That’s Racin’ )
