Cope signs new deal UPDATE:

The #15 Fenley-Moore Motorsports announced that Derrike Cope has been hired to drive for the team in at least two races this season, and will run a full season in 2000. Cope will drive the #15 at Lowes Motor Speedway and Atlanta. 2001 and 2002 will be option years in the contract( NOL ) — UPDATE: Shortly after Fenley acquired Moore’s team, the car was entered with Winston West Series driver Jeff Davis in the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis, but did not qualify for the race. The car carried #62, but Fenley said he has received permission from NASCAR to resume using the #15 Moore’s cars carried the past two decades. Fenley said he is involved in negotiations with several potential primary and associate sponsors for the team, and hoped to be able to make an announcement during the Charlotte race weekend or soon after.
