Tony Roper will be running the #55 Icehouse Ford in the CTS at Louisville next week and may possibly another(Tony Roper Site)(10-1-1999) – UPDATE: Ron Barfield has been released as the driver of the #55 Icehouse Beer Ford F150 campaigned on the Craftsman Truck Series circuit by Gloy-Rahal Motorsports. Team owners Tom Gloy and Bobby Rahal made the announcement today, and revealed that Tony Roper and Boris Said will drive the next two races for the team. Roper, who drove the Gloy-Rahal in 19 races last year, will drive in the Kroger 225 at the half-mile Louisville Motor Speedway this weekend, where he finished sixth for the team last year. Said, one of the most well-rounded drivers in America today with experience in sports cars, Winston Cup and Craftsman Truck, will drive for the team in the Bluebonnet 300K at Texas Motor Speedway on Oct. 15. Said has a history with Gloy that goes back to their days together in the SCCA Trans-Am series. The team has not yet announced who will drive the Icehouse Ford in the seaon-ending NAPA Auto Parts 200 at California Speedway on Oct. 30(Racer Magazine)(10-6-1999)
