Buckshot Jones will drive the #30 Jimmy Dean Pontiac at Talladega( Buckshot Jones Website ) — UPDATE: Buckshot Jones, a two-time winner in the BGN series, will attempt to qualify the Jimmy Dean Pontiac for Sunday’s Winston 500 at Talladega Superspeedway. Eel River Racing announced the one-race deal with Jones on Tuesday. Brunswick, one of Jones’ top sponsors, will be on the #30 Pontiac Grand Prixs as an associate. The team likes the fact that Jones has tested a Pontiac at Talladega recently. Jones ran in the April 25 DieHard 500 at Talladega for the Buckshot Racing team. He qualified 26th and ran in the top-10 through much of the race before getting shuffled back to 21st at the finish. The team and Jones will be utilizing a Hendrick engine(Hoagland Communications)
