In preparation for the October 16th ARCA Series event at Talladega, driver Skip Smith (Williamsport, Pa.) and the Smith Brothers Motorsports recently tested at the 2.66 mile superspeedway. The test was the first time the team worked with AEROFAB Motorsports since the recent signing of an alliance between the two organizations. In an effort to sort through the new relationship with AEROFAB Motorsports, Smith Brothers Motorsports, who is working to establish a quality NASCAR Busch Series program for 2000, elected to enter a brand-new AEROFAB Motorsports prepared Chevy in the October 16th ARCA Series event at Talladega. The event is also hoped to be a spring-board for potential sponsors with the team during their 2000 season efforts(Smith Motorsports PR)(10-5-1999) – UPDATE: Raceway Stores, headquartered in Williamsport, Pa., has joined forces with Smith Brothers Motorsports as a co-primary sponsor of the #28 Shop-Vac/Raceway Stores Chevy, driven by retired Pennsylvania State Police Officer, Skip Smith. Marking the first time for the company as a sponsor, Raceway Stores’ partnership with Smith Brothers is designated for the ARCA Series Winn-Dixie 300 at Talladega Superspeedway, on Saturday, October 16, 1999. Raceway Stores will share co-primary sponsorship of the #28 Chevy with Shop-Vac???? Corporation, also headquartered in Williamsport, Pa.
