Stacy Compton had the fastest car Tuesday in the second of two days of testing at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Compton, a regular on the Craftsman Truck Series who will drive the #9 Ford of Melling Racing Enterprises in the final three Winston Cup races, was clocked at 189.600mph. Other Winston Cup drivers practicing at the track for the season-ending NAPA 500 on Nov. 21 were #94-Bill Elliott(186.666mph), #12-Jeremy Mayfield(186.666) and #50-Ricky Craven(182.970)( Atlanta Journal-Constitution ) also #31-Mike Skinner had a speed of 186.666mph and #30-Andy Hillenburg was at 184.800mph( SpeedNet )
