Pep Boys IRL drivers Billy Boat and Buddy Lazier were both seen in the NASCAR Busch Series garages Friday scoping out the fendered machines. Also on hand was an extremely low key NHRA Winston Funny Car champion and banquet speaking legend John Force, who meandered all over the lot( NOL ). Force also is scouting the NASCAR circuit for a test driver next season. He is going to field a Funny Car team that will do only testing next year and said he’s talking to a female candidate. “She’s here (at PIR),” Force said. “She’s not a (NASCAR) driver.
