Ted Musgrave, driver of Darwin Oordt’s #75, abruptly quit the team just past halfway in Sunday’s Pennzoil 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Musgrave was due out of the car after the season, with only the race at Atlanta to go. Musgrave said he will take time off to evaluate matters and, he hopes, “come back next year with something competitive.” He said he would spend this week “testing some cars at Las Vegas(for the CarsDirect.com 400),” but would not give details( Racer Magazine ) — UPDATE: From the TNN site: “Most Ridiculous Season”
