TRIX Racing of Toms River, NJ announces plans for the 2000 season. Kevin Ray of Eastaboga, AL, will drive the TRIX #79 Chevy for the ARCA race at Daytona and other selected ARCA events in 2000. Ray, 22, will be driving the same car that Mike Skinner sat on the pole with at Daytona in 1997. Last July Ray qualified 4th and finished a strong 11th at Pocono in the TRIX Chevy. Ray is an instructor for the Richard Petty’s Petty Driving Experience at Lowes Motor Speedway. The team also plans to run five CUP races with a current IRL driver in the seat. So far the Pocono 500 and both New Hampshire races are tenativly scheduled. As soon as sponsorship is secured the team will release the full schedule and driver info. Andy Belmont, who made a few attempts in the car in 1999 will not drive for them in 2000.
