from goracing/Bill Kiser: Melling Racing owner Mark Melling, who current runs the #9 number, gave it up to Bill Elliott and the Evernham Dodge team. There was a price to be paid for securing the number, however – according to sources, Melling Racing will also become a part of the Dodge Motorsports program in 2001, bringing along current driver Stacy Compton.
