Robin Miller reported on ESPN2’s RPM2 Night Friday that Robby Gordon has been added to the Indy 500 entry list and would probably drive the #32 Menard car. During Richmond first round qualifying, Gordon said he and his Cup owners (John Menard and Mike Held) had not decided if Gordon would attempt running the Indy 500 as they are committed to Winston Cup. Have seen no official announcement. If Gordon does run the Indy 500, he hopes to be the 3rd driver to run the Indy 500 and Coca Cola 600 on the same day (John Andretti did it in 1994 and Tony Stewart did it last year)(5-6-2000) UPDATE: Robby Gordon has officially decided to take another shot at the coveted Indy 500 crown, once again driving one of John Menard’s Dallara/Oldsmobiles. The announcement of Robby coming to Indy again comes on the heels of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway announcement that Gordon’s name was recently put on the entry list as driver of the #32 John Menard Indy Car. Gordon attempted the same feat in 1997 with Sabco Racing, but due to a rain delay at Indianapolis Gordon was only able to run the Cup race as scheduled. He then finished the Indy 500 later in the week(Team Gordon)(5-7-2000)
