Markham in for Purvis at the Glen: Porter-Cable Power Tools BGN driver Jeff Purvis will call on his friend Curtis Markham for a little help this weekend in Watkins Glen. Markham, a road course veteran and Special Projects Manager for the Joe Gibbs Racing Busch Operation will pilot the #4 Pontiac in the Lysol 200 on Sunday. Purvis will return to the seat of the Porter-Cable Pontiac next week in Milwaukee. With Purvis’ limited road course experience, Joe Gibbs Racing made the decision to have Markham pilot the car on the tricky 11-turn race course. Markham will be making his first start of the season and is looking forward to the opportunity. Steve deSouza, Vice-President of Busch Series Operations for Joe Gibbs Racing emphasized the fact that Purvis will return to the seat next week(TOTAL Sports Marketing PR)(6-23-2000)
