#60 changes? UPDATE 2 Gordon?…No:

on ESPN’s RPM Now radio show, Matt Yocum mentioned that things are up in the air with the #60 Power Team. It ahs already been known that Power Team is out at the end of the 2000 season. Much speculation around the team is who will drive it. Yocum’s comment was does Bessey take over for current driver Geoffrey Bodine, does Robby Gordon step into the car. Gordon? Team sources tell me that Gordon is staying with the #13 Team Gordon team and no plans for Gordon to run another car or with another team, but there is much speculation about what will happen with the #60 team(RPM Radio-Real Audio-52 minute mark)(7-23-2000) UPDATE: Word is that Robby Gordon has contacted Cal Wells in trying to hook the McDonald’s ride(Well’s 2nd team for 2001). Gordon, looking for long-term sponsorship and to give the team a chance to catch up, skipped New Hampshire and Pocono and promised to reappear at Indy(SpeedVision)(7-24-2000) UPDATE 2: Team Gordon is doing nothing right now but diligently preparing for the Brickyard and their sponsorship packages for 2001. Gordon was in Indianapolis on Tuesday testing his #13 Ford Taurus, turning a fast lap of 178.926mph. So no, Gordon will not run the #60 Chevy at Indy or elsewhere.
