Ray Evernham said his operation is on track to present the Dodge Intrepid for approval to NASCAR by the end of next week. The next major test for Evernham’s team will be at Richmond in late August, giving Casey Atwood some more time in the car. If the test goes well, Evernham may enter Atwood in the September Winston Cup race at Richmond driving one of Bill Elliott’s Fords(That’s Racin’)(8-2-2000)
