there are plans for fans of Kenny Irwin across the nation to release balloons on Saturday, August 5th, which would had been Irwin’s 31st birthday. In honor of that, his fans will be sending up a rainbow of balloons. The first release is scheduled for 11:00am/ct time. UPDATE and CORRECTION: the balloon release has been moved the to the Coca-Cola lot on the Northwest side of the speedway. There is a building that runs the length of the parking lot that says ‘Coca-Cola’ on it, that is where the meet will take place. The Irwin trailer will NOT be present at the track(7-28-2000)

AND Debi Musgrave, Ted’s wife, has just received permission to hold a balloon release this Saturday at Team Sabco’s offices in Mooresville, NC. The time will be the same – 1 EST – and she plans to release the balloons from near the small lake in front of the building.
