Mayfield was transported to Clarian Emergency Medical Center, and an update on his condition will be provided when available. AND from SpeedVision’s Ben Blake: Track officials announced that Mayfield was awake and alert but showed signs of concussion. He was taken to Methodist Hospital for further examination and treatment. Mayfield hit the wall at the end of the 3300ft back stretch, where trap speeds show 207 mph. The car hit the wall driver’s side and rearward, and the left-rear spring bounced free of the car and hit the window net and windshield.
