  • McLaughlin’s Dad UPDATE: Busch Series driver Mike McLaughlin’s dad remains in the ICU unit in a New York hospital. Mr. McLaughlin took a nasty fall and broke several ribs and his collarbone, then developed pneumonia. He had been on a respirator over the weekend, but the good news is they have removed the respirator and he is now breathing on his own. Those so inclined might want to keep him and the family in their prayers until Mr. McLaughlin recovers fully. (Matt McLaughlin, no relation to Mike)(8-22-2000)
    UPDATE: as of Thursday afternoon McLaughlin’s dad, Tom, is out of Intensive Care now. He is improving some and hopefully can get back up on his feet in the near future(8-25-2000)
