Bobby Labonte will have a part prepared by a Ford team installed on his Pontiac before the race at New Hampshire in two weeks. Labonte, who wrecked his primary car in practice on Friday when the throttle stuck, plans to use an electronic device developed by Roush Racing. Using sensors on the brakes and in the intake manifold, the device automatically shuts off the engine when it is running wide open and the driver is pushing the brake pedal extremely hard. Jeff Burton plans to run one too, as soon as it is ready(AJC)(9-4-2000)
