Andy Houston will drive the #96 Ronald McDonald Ford for PPI Motorsports in four of the six remaining Cup races, beginning with this weekend’s at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. Houston, who was named driver the #96 PPI Motorsports Ford in August for the 2001 season,, will also drive the car at Rockingham, Phoenix and Homestead. Houston tested the PPI Motorsports Winston Cup car at Lowe’s Motor Speedway and at Phoenix International Raceway. The team has scheduled upcoming test sessions at Rockingham, Homestead, Watkins Glen, Darlington and Talladega. Joe Garone, general manager of PPI Motorsports and Pat Smith, crew chief, will oversee team operations for Houston’s four Winston Cup races.(PPI PR)(10-2-2000)
