Chip Ganassi Racing/Team Sabco have renegotiated and extended the sponsorship deal between Coors Light and driver Sterling Marlin. An official announcement of the new deal is planned for Oct. 7 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. Ganassi Racing is also working on a similar renegotiated and extended sponsor contract with BellSouth for its #01 Chevy’s(to be Dodges in 2001)(That’s Racin’)(9-30-2000) UPDATE: Coors Brewing Company and Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates are teaming up for the 2001 Cup season with Sterling Marlin returning to the seat of the #40 Dodge Intrepid. New ownership and new maufacturer have sparked a different look for the #40 Dodge as it will sport a unique scheme, which was introdued in several events during the 2000 season, resembling the “Silver Bullet” Coors Light can.
