Haas/Carter Motorsports has scheduled a press conference for Nov. 11 at Homestead to formerly announce Todd Bodine and Jimmy Spencer as its drivers for next year and that Kmart still has two years left on its contract(Winston Cup Scene)(11-9-2000) UPDATE: Todd Bodine was officially announced Saturday as next year’s driver for the #66 BigKmart Fords owned by Travis Carter and Carl Haas. Bodine will drive for the team with which Darrell Waltrip is now completing his driving career. Larry Carter, the 66 team’s crew chief, will stay on to work with Bodine. Kmart has two years left on its sponsorship deal with the Carter-Haas teams, but is looking at getting additional sponsors to pay part of the cost of that deal for those two years(That’s Racin’)(11-12-2000)
