Ryan Newman won his second consecutive pole in the BGN after winning the pole at Darlington with a speed of 170.301mph, breaking the track record as did 16 other drivers. Todd Bodine, who has two series wins this season with Buckshot Racing, qualified second, while Matt Kenseth was third. Bobby Hamilton Jr. and Kevin Harvick, last weekend’s Winston Cup race winner at Altanta, round out the top five.
