More Double Duty: Tony Stewart won’t be the only person doing the Indy-Charlotte double this weekend. Tim Shutt, crew chief on Mike McLaughlin’s Busch Grand National car and a long-time friend of Stewart’s, will call the shots for McLaughlin in today’s Carquest 300, then fly to Indianapolis to serve as a spotter for Stewart during the Indy 500. And he’ll be rushing back to Charlotte as soon as the Indy race is over. “I told Tony that the only way I’d do it is if he got me back in time to watch the (Coca-Cola) 600,” Shutt said.(AJC)(5-26-2001)
