Pruett Still Looking: Scott Pruett and PPI Motorsports(#’s 32/96) owner Cal Wells have settled their negotiations over Pruett’s release from his contract, freeing him to drive for other teams. His only obligation to PPI is to help the team with its road course preparations, which he did prior to Sears Point. Had Pruett known that his inaugural venture into Winston Cup would last just one year, he probably would have stayed in CART. Pruett is currently considering a full-time return to road racing teams and a move to the Indy Racing Northern Lights Series(IRL). He would like to return to NASCAR, but only with a competitive Cup or Busch Series team.
