Graves at DEI UPDATE: Fred Graves, former crew chief for the #14 AJ Foyt team and DEI CTS team, is now the Car Chief at Dale Earnhardt Inc(DEI) for driver #15 Michael Waltrip(CNN/SI Qualifying Coverage)(8-11-2001) UPDATE: Fred Graves, who had worked as a freelance consultant earlier this season, is back with Dale Earnhardt Inc., as of last week, serving as car chief for Michael Waltrip’s #15 Chevrolet. “I talked to them Wednesday, and they said the plane leaves Thursday,” Fred Graves said of his recent return to DEI, where he formerly served as crew chief for Ron Hornaday’s Craftsman Trucks series entry.
