Tide and Craven extend with PPI: Tide and PPI Motorsports jointly announced today they have renewed Tide’s primary sponsorship of the #32 Tide Ford in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series through 2004. In conjunction, PPI Motorsports has also extended its contract with Ricky Craven to drive the #32 Tide Ford through 2004. Having just concluded its second year in Winston Cup competition, the PPI Motorsports Tide Racing program has earned its first win (57 starts), its first pole (53 starts), four top fives and eight top tens. The team’s first win also marked the first career victory for Craven, who finished the 2001 season ranked 21st in points and was named “Comeback Driver of the Year” by The Sporting News.(PPI Motorsports PR)(1-16-2002)
