Park Comments: Steve Park comments from the Steve Park Site – “Now for some of the rumors, this is what has been happening the past few days. I have been cleared by Dr. Buckley at Duke University. My vision is 95% and with glasses, yes glasses, it is 100%. Since the vision is cleared up, I went to Lowe’s Motor Speedway and tested in several types of cars thanks to Humpy Wheeler and his staff. Paul Andrews was there along with Dr. Jerry Petty from Carolina’s Medical Center. The testing went very well. There was no vertigo, no problems with depth perception, no g-force loading or unloading. I have to say it was good to be in a race car again. I look forward to getting back in the Pennzoil car and testing in a week or two. Our goal is to go to Daytona, but if we don’t make that race, it will be shortly thereafter.”(1-17-2002)
