Kulwicki Scholarship: Alan Kulwicki Memorial Scholarship Selects Josh Sell – The University of North Carolina at Charlotte has awarded its Alan Kulwicki Memorial Scholarship to Josh Sell, a top academic high school student and race car driver from Urbana, Ohio. Sell, the son of Mark and Beth Sell, will graduate next week from Springfield Catholic High School in Springfield, Ohio. The four-year Kulwicki Scholarship, named in memory of the 1992 NASCAR Winston Cup champion who died in a plane crash in 1993, is the highest honor within UNC Charlotte’s Motorsports Engineering program. California native Ryan Zeck, the first Kulwicki scholarship winner, set the standard for the program and is now an engineer with Robert Yates Racing and a competitive race car driver in late model stock car and part-time American Speed Association competition.
