Richard Mitchell is trying to make his second NASCAR Busch Series start Saturday at Nashville Superspeedway. The two-time NASCAR Weekly Racing Series Northeast Region champion finished 35th in April in his series debut at the 1.333-mile track, driving the #56 Chevy for Mac Hill Motorsports. “We used the first Nashville race to get our feet wet,” the West Virginia driver said. “Despite all of the problems, we were happy with our performance. We certainly don’t have the resources that the full-time teams do, but if we can eliminate the bad luck, I feel we can be competitive with the Busch regulars.”(Daytona Beach News Journal) AND #28-Brad Baker returns to his hometown this weekend and hopes to duplicate his success of earlier this season. In his second series start of the season, Baker finished 17th at Nashville in April. All we want to do is go out there and give it our best, Baker said. We had a good run in April, but we are bringing a new car to Nashville this week and I think we are going to be really good.(ThatsRacin.com)(6-6-2002)
