The general consensus was that Sauter would be in the No. 2 Chevrolet through the June 30 race at Milwaukee, in his home state of Wisconsin. After that, 1994 Busch Series champion David Green was said to be a candidate to fill the seat. Still, Lind and Mike Dillon, Childress son-in-law and a consultant with the team, both completely dismissed the subject out of hand.
