He said he plans to think about his future on a vacation with his family next week, where he’ll spend the final off weekend of the 2002 Winston Cup season. If he does return for another year, he said his first option would be to remain as driver of the No. 28 Fords at Robert Yates Racing – but he’s not sure if that option is open.
