UPDATE: With Carlos Contreras reportedly considering a move to the Busch Series with another organization, Petty Enterprises is considering leaving the truck series at the end of this season. We dont know yet, Richard Petty said July 19. Were not really aiming (at returning to the series), but we dont know whats going to happen. Weve still got a month or two to make up our mind as to what were going to do. Theres speculation that Petty Enterprises could field a full-time Busch Series team with a driver to be determined, but nothing is definite. Right now, weve got three or four scenarios, Petty said.
