UGH – Rain at Darlington:

Rain was falling Friday morning at Darlington Raceway, fouling things up for BGN/Cup teams preparing for practice and qualifying.(ThatsRacin.com) as of 10:30am/et NASCAR.com reports: Officials were unable to start track drying as of 10:30am/et, and estimates were it would take more than two hours to dry the racing surface once drying began. The weather channel site shows lots of green in the area.
UPDATE: BGN qualifying has been cancelled and the field for Saturday’s race, the Gatorade 200, will be set by points. That will put Greg Biffle out front, with Jason Keller starting second. Friday’s Winston Cup practice and qualifying could be in trouble, too. The forecast calls for a 90% chance of thunderstorms on Friday and a 30% chance on Saturday. There’s a 50% probability on Sunday.(ThatsRacin.com)
