#8-Dale Earnhardt Jr. was in a race all to himself Friday night as he dominated the Funai 250 at Richmond, leading 190 of 250 laps to earn his second BGN victory of the season. He also won the season opener at Daytona. Earnhardt Jr.’s #8 Chevy – built by a new team he co-owns with stepmother Teresa Earnhardt – was head-and-shoulders above the rest of the field all weekend. He led practice, won the pole with a track record speed and coasted ahead of #27-Jamie McMurray by 1.25 seconds to take the win. Murray scored his career-best finish and was followed by #9-Jeff Burton, #33-Tony Raines and #57-Jason Keller. Series points leader #60-Greg Biffle finished sixth after having to pit early in the race because of a suspected tire problem. Biffle maintains his 78-point lead over Keller, but #23-Scott Wimmer, who finished ninth, moved into third place in the points race, 261 behind Keller. Full story at ThatsRacin.com.
