Wimmer wins at Dover:

#23-Scott Wimmer won his first career BGN race at Dover in the MBNA All-American Heroes 200 in the unsponsored #23 Bill Davis Racing Pontiac. Wimmer is the fifth first-time winner in the series this season. His 26th starting position is the farthest back of any series race winner at Dover [actually Kyle Petty won in Cup from 37th in 1995, maybe this is for the BGN]. The previous mark was 24th. #18-Mike McLaughlin finished second and #24-Jack Sprague third. #21-Jeff Green and #57-Jason Keller rounded out the top five. Series points leader #60-Greg Biffle got caught up in the accident on Lap 140. His Ford suffered some damage and required several pit stops for repair. Biffle finished 17th, allowing Keller to close to within 35 points. Pole sitter #37-Kevin Lepage finished 24th.(ThatsRacin.com)
