Atlanta Testing Wednesday: Bobby Hamilton Jr. was fastest Wednesday during a test of three Winston Cup and Busch teams testing for the Oct. 25-27 NAPA 500 weekend at Atlanta. Hamilton Jr. improved his speeds from Tuesday, steering his #25 U.S. Marine Corps Ford at 181.530mph under Wednesday’s cool, overcast conditions. #98-Kasey Kahne also improved his speeds from Tuesday, rounding the track at 180.750mph). #27-Kirk Shelmerdine, preparing for the Oct. 27 NAPA 500, turned in the second-fastest speed of the day with his #27 Naturally Fresh/Jackaroo Sauces Ford at 180.999mph.
