#9-Jeff Burton put all but two of the 42 other cars at least a lap down in winning Saturday’s Little Trees 300 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in dominating fashion, his fifth BGN victory in 12 starts this season. 2nd place went to #99-Michael Waltrip and 3rd to #87-Joe Nemechek, the only other drivers on the lead lap. #21-Jeff Green finished 4th and #5-David Green, in his first race driving for Hendrick Motorsports’ was fifth. #60-Greg Biffle, the series points leader, was sixth and extended his advantage to 168 points over second-place #57-Jason Keller. Keller, who changed engines Friday and started at the rear of the field, finished 18th. #36-Hank Parker Jr., one of nine drivers involved in a wreck on Lap 99, was taken to University Hospital, where he was diagnosed with a sprained left shoulder.
