Busch series driver Jeff Purvis, who nearly lost his life in a crash at Nazareth Speedway on May 19, was at AMS on Friday, his first trip to a track since the crash. “It’s good to be back,” Purvis said. “You don’t realize how much you miss something until you lose it.” Purvis did not say when or if he expects to be back behind the wheel of a race car.(Atlanta Journal Constitution)(10-26-2002)
