While all may be quiet in the way of official news on the #26 Dr. Pepper -Carroll Racing team, there has been some talk about Joey Clanton possibly filling the vacant seat created when Ron Hornaday left to drive for the #2 RCR BGN team. Clanton won the 2002 ASA Championship for Steve Dale, who recently became the majority owner of that series.(in part from StockCarFans’ ASA Newsletter)(12-20-2002) AND: Joey Clanton will NOT be in the Dr. Pepper car because a current BGN driver already had his photo shoot in the car.(StockCarFans’ ASA Newsletter)(BGN Racing), doesn’t say who that driver is….and I have not heard.(12-23-2002)
