Johnny Sauter is going to be running the Curb Agajanian #43 CURB Records Chevrolet for the Daytona BUSCH event. Sauter and Curb Agajanian have teamed up and plan to run Daytona and perhaps additional races this season, where Sauter is not obligated to run the #21 Payday Chevy for RCR. CURB Records has given Sauter a commitment to run Daytona only at this point. Sauter and the team are attempting to solidify additional partners for Daytona and the additional events in 2003. Pending sponsorship, Sauter hopes to compete in the #43 Curb Agajanian Chevrolet for all 15 events where he is not running for RCR.(PR)(12-24-2002)
UPDATE: Gearhead Racing Fans announced their first sponsorship of a BGN race team with their support of the #43 Curb Records Chevrolet with Driver, Johnny Sauter. Curb Agajanian Motorsports and Sauter are very excited to have a partner going into Daytona with such an innovative and thrilling concept. “We hope that NASCAR BUSCH fans see the opportunity that the Gearhead Racing Fans membership provides, so that we can run some additional events in 2003”, said Sauter. Gearhead Racing Fans believe fan sponsorship can only work if both the race teams and the member/sponsors realize tangible benefits. To that end, Gearhead Racing Fans members will have an opportunity to realize sponsorship benefits like any other sponsor. They will be offering season-long sponsorship to at least one BGN team for 2003 as an associate sponsor. They anticipate making an announcement during January as to which team(s) or driver(s) they will be sponsoring for the 2003 season. Gearhead Racing Fans is a fan-owned, fan-controlled group of NASCAR enthusiasts formed to bring needed financial support to the BGN series in return for benefits normally associated with sponsorship. NASCAR fans who are interested in directly supporting the BGN series are invited to visit www.gearheadfans.com to become a member of Gearhead Racing Fans.(Curb Agajanian Motorsports PR)(1-3-2003)
