UPDATE: also hearing Brad Baker will be driving a limited schedule 2003. Brent Moore, new to BGN racing, will be driving the majority of the schedule. Brent’s first BGN race was PPIR 2002.(12-14-2002)
UPDATE 2: Ortec Racing of Easley, S.C., says it has signed Brad Baker to run a limited number of Busch Series races this year. “I am excited about having Brad on board with us this season,” said crew chief Tony Burgess. “He meshes real well with the rest of our team. He shows the skills and determination that it will take to succeed.” No schedule of races was announced. UPDATE 3: Ortec, Inc., a leading custom manufacturer located in Easley, South Carolina, has entered into an agreement to form ORTEC Racing (Original Racing Technologies), LLC with Chris Hoiles Motorsports, owner of the BGN #96 car. ORTEC Racing will not only focus on running teams at various levels of NASCAR competition, but will also manufacture new motorsports technologies. “We are about building a sustainable, winning team built on three principles”, says Ortec owner Larry Brotherton. “These principles are, dedication to the goals of our sponsors, putting forth 110% every time we come to the track, and seek to bring innovation in safety and design to racing.” The team will be based out of Chris Hoiles Motorsports’ current facilities in Liberty, South Carolina.
