Conway and Innovative, Irvan to assist:

Kevin Conway will drive the Innovative Motorsports #48B BGN Chevy on January 23rd and 24th in preparation for the Koolerz 300 at Daytona Intl Speedway. Shane Hmiel will also be testing the #48A Dark Dog Energy Drink Chevy this week. “Innovative Motorsports is a great organization and I hope to add valuable information to benefit the team effort in preparation for next months race,” added Conway. In 2002 Conway drove in a combined effort for Ernie Irvan Racing and Innovative Motorsports in two ARCA races at Atlanta and Charlotte. For 2003, the twenty-four year old Conway hopes to contend for “Rookie of the Year” while running a full BGN schedule with Innovative Motorsports. “Right now we are in discussions with several potential sponsors and I am optimistic that we will be able to make an announcement in the very near future, hopefully at Daytona,” said Conway. Conway has an extensive background in racing. He has competed in the Legends Series, NASCAR Late-Models, ASA, and ARCA series. He has worked for over three years as a driving instructor for the Richard Petty Driving Experience. For the past year, Conway has tested extensively for NASCAR Winston Cup teams MBV/MB2 #10 and #36. Legendary NASCAR driver Ernie Irvan will be assisting Conway with his efforts this year. “I have been involved with Kevin for the past couple of years, and have really enjoyed working with him. I know one thing for sure, he has a great deal of talent and he has what it takes to be a great driver. He is the complete package for a sponsor,” says Irvan.(1-22-2003)
