Fox earned a 6.3/13 overnight Nielsen rating for its coverage of yesterday’s Subway 400 Winston Cup race at North Carolina Speedway, an 11% increase over last year’s 5.7/13, according to the Sports Business Daily. The race, which saw Dale Jarrett victorious over Kurt Busch after a late-race battle, was the top sports event on television this weekend, well ahead of the 5.1/10 that ABC drew for its final-round coverage of the PGA’s Nissan Open.
