One of the hottest groups in Texas music will be on the quarterpanels of the #49 BAM Racing Dodge this week in Texas Motor Speedways Samsung/Radio Shack 500 NASCAR Winston Cup race. The Derailers, which will appear in conjunction Sony Music Nashville, will be the group on the side of Ken Schraders car. The Derailers, formed by Tony Villaneuva and Brian Hofeldt from Oregon in 1993, is known a true “sound of Texas.” Its 1996 debut album, “Jackpot,” began the bands post-driving backbeat hammer-ringing Telecaster strum and steam whistle duet harmony – a sound right out of Texas.
