The pit crew for Dale Jarrett’s #88 UPS Ford captured the $20,000 first-place prize by winning the McDonald’s Drive-Thru Pit Championship fueled by POWERADE at the recent Coca-Cola 600 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte. Jarrett’s ninth-place finish at the 1.5-mile speedway was paved by the excellent performance of his over-the-wall pit crew for its fast and accurate performance during the rain-shortened race. The UPS/Robert Yates Racing Ford spent the least amount of time, for a participating team , on pit road – 286 seconds, three seconds fewer than the pit crew of Michael Waltrip’s team, which leads in the overall McDonald’s Drive-Thru Pit Championship point standings. Sterling Marlin’s pit crew came in third – spending 290 seconds on pit road. The over-the-wall pit crew for the #88 team consists of John Bryan (jackman), Barry Price (gasman), Rick Coulson (catch can), Mike Trower (front tire changer), Darren Jolly (front tire carrier), Jason Sheets (rear tire changer) and Jeff Knight (rear tire carrier).(DMF Communications PR), see full rundown and standings on my Pitcrew Page and check out the Pitcrew Chart .(5-29-2003)
