The O’Reilly 250 at Kansas Speedway will mark the 200th NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race for Spears Motorsports. In the nine-year history of the series, the team has missed only two races. The Mooresville-based team is owned by Wayne and Connie Spears and is sponsored by Spears Manufacturing. Their history began in California and includes a Winston West Championship with Kevin Harvick. Throughout the course of the team’s NCTS history, they seen drivers such as Bill Sedgwick, Bobby Gill, Nathan Buttke, Dan Press, Kevin Harvick, Lonnie Rush, Marty Houston and. Billy Bigley Jr. take the seat of the #75 Chevy Silverado. However, the team celebrated their most successful season in 2002 with driver, David Starr. Starr brought the team their first win, 16 top-10 finishes, eight top-five finishes and a fifth place finish in the points. Hank Parker, Jr. is the tenth driver [due to Starr’s injuy] to take the wheel of the #75 Spears Manufacturing Chevrolet.(Spears PR)(7-3-2003)
